Workshop- PILATES FOR CLIMBERS
This workshop will highlight how Pilates can decrease the risk of overuse injuries by improving flexibility, muscle balance, and mind-body connection (body awareness, breathing, focus/precision).
The majority of climbing related injuries originating from overuse affect the upper extremity. 90% of climbers experience an injury to the upper extremity; which includes the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder.
Come learn about and practice Pilates-based movements that can support your climbing fitness, improve your performance, and help avoid setbacks from injury.
About the instructor: Meg is an occupational therapist, certified hand therapist, and certified Pilates instructor. She is passionate about promoting community wellness through injury prevention.
